Michigan Trip 2014

Well, we did it again, we decided to go to Michigan and surprise our friends there. It was a success! We went to the Haviland's door and our kids stood at the door and Kelly came around the corner and yelled, "It's the Robert's"! I love surprises! We hung out with the Haviland's and Vorhies most of the time. We also went up to Great Wolf Lodge for our 4th time with everyone. We always have a great time up there. We celebrated Kelly's birthday while we were up there too. The biggest birthday was Ryan's. He turned 40 on Sunday, March, 16th. We went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Grand Blanc and met up with all our friends; all 30 something of us, including our kids. It was a fun night! Hello and surprises are fun, but the good byes are never fun. I had a tough time leaving everyone this year. The Girls shed some tears with their mommy! Good friends like we have back in Michigan and irreplaceable! They were our family while we were away from our family. They will always be family to us! Miss you all already!!

Bible Story

Last night was the kids Upwards basketball end of the year celebration. Like usual, they had relays and video of pictures from the season and they got basketballs. As we walked out the door, ladies handed out travel New Testament bibles to each kid. The Girls were so excited. They immediately started reading it in the car and said they are gonna read a chapter every night before bed (we will see how long that lasts). It would be awesome if it did last a while. The sweetest part was when the Girls were getting into bed, Logan said she wanted to grab her bible so she could put it under her pillow, so that if she has nightmares, she knows God will be right there. So Sweet! Then to top it off, Jordan said; well if I don't have my bible under my pillow, I know that God is still right there. Taking the kids to church/Sunday School is paying off! So thankful!
