Girls Turn 8

My Twins, Logan and Jordan are now 8. YIKES! Where did the time go. I think I say this every year. They had another great birthday this year. We kinda go all out with kids birthdays around here. For the day of their birthday, they had school. I brought brownies to Logan's class and cupcakes to Jordan's class. When they came home they tried the pool out that we had put up a couple days prior. They didn't last long. The water was still way too cold to swim and enjoy it. Then we skyped with Grandma while the Girls opened their gifts from Ryan and I. They got some fun toys, clothes and a fun surprise. We surprised them with a trip to California for Kellie Young's graduation, my Cousin Scott's 50th birthday, trip to Sea World and trip to the San Diego Zoo. I will post pictures, but each event was in a seperate envelope with pictures and puzzles they had to put together of the places we were going to go. They are so excited for the trip. We leave the day after school gets out. Unfortunately, Ryan cannot go with us. We tried to pull as many strings as we could to try and get him to join us, but it just didn't work out. We will go next time with him and do Disneyland. We also gave them a party a few days after their actual birthday. They had some friends over for a party. They swam, yes the pool was warmer, they had a pinata, ate pizza and hung out. Then they had a couple friends sleep over. Seemed like a fun party to me. I think they are pooped now though. :0) Happy Birthday Girls!!!

Mothers Day 2012

This was the first Mothers Day in a long time that I got to spend it with my mom. Another bonus of being closer to family. My parents came down to hang out for a few days. We had fun golfing, BBQing, playing games, etc. Always fun times with the Fortners!Of course, I got to spend the day with my kiddos. Love being their mommy!!!

Surprise Kiss

Ok, I have a sweet story to share. One that all moms would love. A couple weeks ago I was laying in bed one night and Kaden came into our room, like he always does a couple times a week. He gets a bad dream and gets scared and wants to sleep with us. Thank goodness for our King sized bed because he is a kicky sleeper. He will roll over and he will be in your face. Anyways, the reason for this post is what he did that night. He came in bed and I made room for him in between Ryan and I. I rolled over to my side, facing him and started to fall asleep. Just before I did, I felt this kiss on my lips. It was Kaden. He had leaned over to give his mom a kiss on the lips, just because. How sweet is that? I will never forget that moment. He is mamas boy!

Goofy Pictures of Logan and Jordan

We are starting to plan Logan and Jordans 8th birthday party. We aren't sure what we are gonna do yet, but I am pretty sure what I'm gonna do for their birthday invitation. I am gonna make a photo card through shutterfly with the following 4 pictures.

Kaden & His Mommy Pats

Ok, this isn't the biggest thing ever, but as a mommy, it is something special to me. For the past month or so, whenever I am holding kaden or hugging him, he pats me on the back. I know, big whoop right, but it is so cute. Last night Kaden came into bed with us somewhere between midnight and morning. Anyways, when we woke up he crawled over to me and put his arm around me and gave me his momy pat. He sooooo has me wrapped around his finger! He is the baby! :0)

Logan & Her Football

Ok, so I should have taken a picture, but I didn't. I just had to share a couple recent Logan stories. I have always said she was my pretty tomboy, we these couple stores have proved me right once again. The other day I asked her to pick an outfit out for Easter Sunday Church...she immediately said no skirts or dresses. So she wore shorts. She picked out a sparkly camo color sparkly shirt at least, but what did she do??? She covered it up with a camo jacket buttoned up to the last possible button. You can see her outfit on the pics below. Then for school the past couple of days, she has brought a football to play with at school and has come home with grass stained knees. Good God, she better turn out to be the athlete she seems to wanna be. Love her to pieces!

Easter 2012

This was our first Easter in Idaho and we spent it at Grandma and Grandpa Fortners house. We went up for the weekend and had a good time. We all went to an Idaho Stampede basketball game, we played at the park, shopped, had a BBQ, had an Easter Egg hunt of 100 eggs, colored eggs and visited Kara and Chris Maze in Middleton.
