Loving Jordan

Tonight when I was washing the dishes, Jordan came over to me and struck up the following conversation...
J: Mommy (showing me a picture of two bears hugging and two monkeys kissing)this is what I want to do to you.
Me: what do you want to do?
J: Give you hugs and kisses
Me: bending over for my hug and kiss, awww thanks Jordan.
(Meanwhile Ryan is in the room and says, I want to hug and kiss your mom too)
Me: Daddy likes hugs and kisses too
J: no, only mommy, not daddy. Maybe on Fathers Day.

I thought that was funny, and cute! Like Jordan's Pre-school teacher says, Jordan has the best stories.

Lucky Mom!!!

Today was Mothers Day. We had a great day. The Girls got me flowers and Ryan got me hanging plants for the porch. We did some yard work, shopped a little, went to a friends house for a BBQ, went for a run and simply hung out as a family. It was a good day! I am so lucky to have my 3 monkeys!!! :)

I Made It!

For the past 3 days, I had a mini daycare going on here. I had my 3 kids (4,4&1), Brooklyn (5) and three other boys (4,2,8 mon.). Yes, I had 7 kids to watch. I was a little nervous, but thanks to the beautiful weather, we played outside 90% of the day. Another bonus was that the boys were really good kids! Here are pics of quiet time (watching a movie while the two youngest slept).

Also, we have our third birds next in our yard. The duck one didn't make it. Something got into them, so sad and the other one didn't make it either. Hopefully these robin eggs will make it. Robin eggs are so pretty. The nest is in an unusual place. It is in this mini pine tree at ehe kids eye level.

Random Stuff

Kaden is the perfect Time-out kid. He has started temper tantrums lately and he is almost two, so I thought I should start to introduce the "Time-Out". Here he is in his time out spot. I put him there, he stayed (never moved), then I picked him up and did the "Super Nanny", you are in time-out because...I love you, blah, blah, the whole time he is looking right into my eyes. Then I ask for a hug and he gives me one. It was textbook!!!

The other picture is of Logan and Kaden. Logan and Kaden love playing with each other. This is them in Logans bed singing our songs and saying our prayers. They are so cute to watch together!

The other picture is of Logan holding Kaden while playing Webkinz online. Kaden is her little buddy. That is what she calls him too, along with katie (hope that doesn't last long), K K and Kaden.

The other picture is of a duck lying on her nest right next to our house. It lets s get about 10 feet away from her. You walk out our garage and look to the left and there she is. She has 9 eggs...big eggs. Bigger than the Easter Eggs, as the girls would say.

Conversation with Logan

Today, I was washing the dishes and Logan came upstairs with her baby doll. I asked her what she was doing and here is what our conversation took us...
L: I had a baby
Me: You had a baby? Boy or Girl?
L: Girl
Me: what did you name her?
L: I don't know, the doctor didn't tell me her name yet.
Me: You get to choose the name of your baby, not the doctor.
L: did you name me?
Me: yes.
L: what did you name me?
Me: Logan silly
..........then she took it a step further..............
L: mommy, did you have all of us in your belly?
ME: yes,you used to be in my belly.
L: Mommy, you are supposed to do one at a time.
ME: well, sometimes it doesn't always work out that way. I had you and your siser in my belly at the same time, but kaden was all by himself.
L: oh.
Me: so did you think of a name for your baby?
L: doggy.

Easter

We had a great and busy Easter weekend. Ryan was home the whole weekend, which was great in itself. We had a birthday party to attend on Saturday, which was fun. Then on Sunday, the kids found their Easter baskets and eggs. The Easter Bunny hid the Easter eggs utside again this year. See, I grew up in California, so the Bunny always hid the eggs outside. This is the second year I have had my children all bundled up to find their eggs. I think we may bring it inside next year! Then, we went to church, which was such a great service. We went to a friends church, which was fun to try something new. Then we went to our friends home, The Chappells. We had twenty something people...all medical families there. There was so much GREAT food. I even passed on the dessert to eat more of the other yummy stuff. We had a great Easter! Nana sent the Girls Easter dresses this year, but for some reason took forever in the mail, so we didn't get them until Monday. I had to take pictures of the Girls in them anyways. Here are some of those pictures. Jordan is in Green. Logan is in White. Kaden was sent a cute Polo vest. I will take pics of him later.
