The Joys of Traveling

Okay, so we are flying to Boise, Idaho this coming Thursday. We are going for basically 10 days to visit both my family and Ryan's family. Yes, we are excited for our trip, but the packing part of it is crazy! If it was just myself, I would only need one suitcase and a carry on at the most. Packing with kids is a whole different story. As soon as we got our suitcases out, Jordan started packing herself and was ready to go as you can see in the picture. What a goofball! Whether you have one kid or 3 kids, or if you are staying for 1 day or 10 days, there is still basically the same amount of junk to take. Because there is so much to take, I started to make my packing list a couple weeks ago, because I knew I would keep adding things to it daily, which I have.
- Clothes, toiletries, car seats, strollers, porta cribs, diaper bag, diapers, formula, bottles, binky's, wipes, snacks, toys, medicines, blankies, babies..... the list goes on and on. Oh, and remember that all of these things that I have just mentioned need to be multiplied by five, because moms and dads have their junk too. :)
Then, the other thing that stresses me out now are all of the security issues we have to deal with when packing now.
-No bigger than 3 oz. bottles of liquid, only 1 clear quart sized bag per passenger on carry-ons, baby food will be checked, etc.
Now, the next thing that I am not looking forward to are the time zone changes. Instead of waking up in the morning with the kids around 7:00 a.m. we will be waking up at 5:00 a.m. Boise time. OUCH! I am not a morning person at all!!! The kids will be so messed up!
With all that said, it is all worth the trip. Many haven't seen Kaden yet and we miss our family tons.
Happy and safe travels to all who are traveling this spring and summer. Oh, and GOOD LUCK! :)

You are going to have a blast once you are there. I feel your pain on the time change. I can't wait to see all the pics once you get back.
Travel safe and have fun!

GOOD LUCK!!! I think the airport "rules" are harder to deal with than kids are!
