Kids First Race - CRIM Kids Classic

Today was so much fun. The kids ran in their first race. First, Kaden ran the toddler trot sprint. In his heat out of about 10 kids he took FIRST place. I couldn't believe it. I love his form in this picture too. Look, he left everyone else in the dust. LOL. Logan and Jordan ran the 1/2 mile race. In their heat out of about 25 kids (6,7,& 8 year olds). Logan got 5th place and Jordan got 8th place. They both finished just under 7 min. I think. I got to run with the girls. They had a blast. These kids are athletes!!! Oh, and of course, the Girls had to have doggie faces painted on their faces.

Where Did Logan Go?

I decided to take the kids for a bike ride. The kids rode their bike and I walked along side Kaden. The Girls know to stop at every street light for Kaden and I to catch up. They have been doing that for over a year and know the rule. Anyways, while Kaden and I were catching up about a 1/4 mile into our bike ride. the Girls saw their friend, Bobby. They started to ride off with Bobby. I yelled for them, but when bikes have training wheels, the kids can't hear very well. The bikes are loud. As I was about to turn the corner, I saw Jordan come back for me. I asked her where Logan went and she said that Bobby and her crossed the street and rode off. I was furious by now. So I pushed Kaden so fast on the bike, he was gonna fall off, so I put the bike to the side of the road and carried Kaden while running home looking for Logan. Meanwhile, a neighbor could tell something was wrong, so she drove around looking for Logan and a cop came by as well to help. Once I got closer to home, there was Logan and Bobby (stinking boys) playing in our driveway. She had rode her bike 3/4 of a mile without me. I yelled at Logan and told her she was in big trouble. I told her I had the police looking for her. Jordan then asks..."Is Logan going to jail"? I said no, then I told the kids to get in the car. Then Logan asked..."Am I really going to jail"? I said no, we need to get in the car to go and get Kaden's bike I put to the side of the road. When we got back home, Logan spent the rest of the night in her room and cleaning the whole house for punishement. She was kissing up to me for the rest of the night. She kept telling me she loved me and that she was sorry and happy mothers day, even though mothers day was two days ago. GRRRR, I couldn't beleive she did this. Stinkin boys and peer pressure.

Mothers Day Weekend

Mothers Day weekend started off like a charm. The kids had a school Mothers Day suprise for us. I came to the door and the girls ran up to me and escorted me to my seat. Then they gave me a crown to wear and a poem, which is shown here. Then they brought me snacks, sang a few songs, and gave me a gift. The gift was a wooden frame that they painted with a picture inside. It was so cute! I loved it! I love my Girls! It is only friday too. I have two more days and Ryan is home for the weekend too. I had to put a pic. of Kaden on here too.

Fortners visit to Michigan Easter 2010

I think one of Ryans favorites days while they were here was when he got to put an I.V. into my dad. He wasn't feeling well, so Ryan wanted to keep him hydrated, so an I.V. it was. Note, Ryan missed the first poke, so he poked my dad twice.
I wish we had pictures of our real favorite event....Tennis doubles Wii, EVERY night. We had a blast, even though Grandma would hit us each round with her remote. Good times!
The running pictures are of the Girls running with Daddy and Grandma for the first time a half mile. They loved it!

My parents came for a visit this easter break. We had a great time together. We didn't go to many places, but we hung out at home and enjoyed being together. The weather was beautiful, which was a bonus. Here are some pictures of the things we did together.

Girls Basketball Season

This was the Girls first year on a basketball team. I was lucky enough to be a coach. Practices were crazy. I felt like I was trying keep a herd of cows together, but they had a great time and they improved so much from the first game to the last. It was a great program. It is called upward basketball. It is church related. During the whole season they are shown how to play basketball in a christlike manner. It was great. The program is run by all volunteers. Hope to do it again next year.

Murder Mystery Dinner

Ryan and I went to a Murder Mystery Dinner at our friends house. It was a western theme. My character was the floozy and Ryan was the lone ranger cowboy. It was fun to dress up. We had a good time and I ended up being the murder too. This is a great and fun thing to do with a few couples or a lot of girlfriends for a girls night.

February Fun!

Here are some random pictures from February. We had a pink and red valentine dinner, which the kids loved. We did meatloaf with red ketchup on top, salad with red tomatoes and craisins, toast with red jam, heart shaped red jello and red juice.
There are also pictures of the kids playing in their $1 soccer jerseys. They were playing ring around the rosies together. Goofballs!!! One picture is of Kadens owie. He leaped into the bathtup and got a huge gash on her head. Ryan performed surgery at home. Last is Kaden in his new BIG BOY bed. No more cribs in the Roberts home....so sad!
