Anniversary #6

Well, we celebrated our 6th Anniversary yesterday. I took this picture of us myself, so not the best. Ryan's face is too close. Now I know how people take pictures of those dogs upclose and make them into cards! :)

Anyways, we had a fun filled day! In the morning, I went on a 8 mile jog, training for my 10 mile race in a few weeks. Man am I sore today. Anyways, then we hung out at home and played outside some with the kids. They flew their kites.

In the evening, our friends watched our kids for us while we went out. We went to dinner in flint at Logan's Roadhouse. It was good food, but the service was horrible. We sat and waited for a waiter to come greet us for over 10 min. Meanwhile another waiter was hitting on a guest next to us. Then when our waiter finally greeted us, she kept calling us sweethearts. That was said throughout our dinner...annoying. It was with this twangy voice too.

Then we decided to go scope out the race route, "The CRIM". I wanted to see the hils, etc. While doing so, we got a little lost and we knew we did, because we got to one area with a drunk black guy half naked holding his beer up, mumbling something out and standing in the middle of the street. Everyone was honking at him to get him out of the street. Boy was I glad I didn't have my kids with us at this point. Anyways, once we got back on the right path, we then went by some REALLY NICE houses. We even went by the Mayor of Flints house. How I knew this? Well there was a sign on his gated community with his name on it. How dumb, I thought. This was like an open invitation to come and shoot me down if you hate me as your Mayor type of thing.

Okay, so once we finished that crazy little tour of Flint, we came back to Grand Blanc and sat at Starbucks outside and had a drink. It was such a nice night. So, that was our day. It was a weird Anniversary, but so much fun! At the end of the day, I thanked Ryan for our romantic date in downtown Flint! :) Ha Ha!

By the way, the song on my playlist by Bran Adams, "When You Love Someone", was the song we danced to on our wedding day! LOVE IT!

P.S. I LOVE YOU RYAN!

Happy Anniversary you two!! Sounds like it was a great date night, minus the service at the restaurant. And I am super impressed you are going to do a 10 mile race Allison. WOWZERS!!! You Go Girl!
