ZUMBA

Okay Guys, have you heard of the new aerobics class called, ZUMBA? If not, read below...

Zumba® Fitness is like no other workout you will ever experience!Zumba® Fitness was created in the mid-90’s by Colombian native Alberto “Beto” Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for International pop superstars. Inspired by the traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music he grew up with, Beto paired his favorite pulsating Latin rhythms with the red-hot international dance steps his clients loved and Zumba® Fitness (Spanish slang for “to move fast and have fun”) was born!
Since Beto brought Zumba® Fitness to the US in 1999, it has become one of the fastest-growing, dance-based fitness crazes in the country, with people of all ages falling in love with its infectious music, easy-to-follow dance moves, and body-beautifying benefits.

The athletic club by the hospital here (The GAC) offers the class. I have gotten a few passes to go and I have gone 3 times. I LOVE IT! It is sooooo fun. It has every kind of dance you can think of in it and all types of music. You can't go wrong with this class. Just shake your booty and have a good time! If you haven't tried this class, find a club that offers it and do it. You will love it!

I thought seriously about getting ZUMBA certified. It looks really fun. A girl was going to try and teach it a the rec. center but it fell through. I wish we had it here.

That sounds like so much fun!! I wish my gym had that class. I would definitely do it! You should record yourself doing it and post it on here. ;)

Alison, don't you remember the class that Larissa was teaching at the gym in KV. I think that says enough about me trying to do any type of dance in public again.

I'm so glad you wrote about this. They have a class for this at the gym I've joined, but I haven't attended yet. Maybe I'd better get with the program.
